The Grampian Truck Show Announces New Location For 2025 Event
Grampian Truck Show has today announced a two-day event at P&J Live in Aberdeen on 19th and 20th April 2025. Set to attract between 250 and 300 trucks into the venue’s arena, including big brand names Scania, Volvo, Daf, Mercedes, Man, Renault, Kenworth & Peterbilt, The Grampian Truck Show aims to be the largest show of its kind in Europe.
Having been held at Thainstone in Aberdeenshire since 2021, The Grampian Truck Show is where enthusiasts can discover custom cab interiors, intricate paintwork and bodywork, and some of the rarest modern and retro trucks on Europe’s roads.
Truck owners will be invited to enter a selection of competitive classes including 20+ different categories, while young aspiring truckers will be kept entertained within the show’s kids’ zone, which will feature a mini trucker parade, face painting, bouncy castle and more.
Ally Shaw, Organiser of the Grampian Truck Show, said: “We're thrilled to take The Grampian Truck Show to the next level! Since its return three years ago the event has raised over £50,000 for local charities and experienced tremendous growth each year. In response to weather challenges over the past two years, we got together to find a solution – P&J Live.
“The move to the venue will not only provide us with a larger, more secure venue but will also create a more comfortable experience for both participants and attendees. The hard-working truckers who compete each year will now have the space and environment to showcase their vehicles without the worry of the Scottish weather.
“We are building what we believe will be the largest indoor truck show in Europe—an exciting milestone for all involved! As one of the organisers, I couldn’t be more excited to see this vision come to life—and I’m confident next year will be our best yet! Thank you to everyone for their continued support – we couldn’t have made The Grampian Truck Show a success without you.”
Grant Law, Marketing Director at Asset Alliance Group – one of the show’s main sponsors, said: “We are delighted to support the decision to expand the Grampian Truck Show. As an original sponsor we have seen this charitable event grow over recent years and now taking it to the hugely impressive P&J Live with a full indoor show over the Easter weekend is exciting for all involved. The event has become a sell-out in recent years and with entertainment and great facilities and it attracts some of the best show trucks and operators’ fleets in not only Scotland but UK wide. It is something that works so well for both the industry and the general public.
“With this move, it takes an outdoor show indoors with many benefits as a result and an ability to attract even more numbers. As a charitable event, the organisers will hope it can benefit many of the local charities in the Grampian area.
“We want to compliment the organisers in this move. The work behind the scenes to secure P&J Live has been fantastic and the Grampian Truck Show now firmly puts Aberdeen and Scotland on the map as a highlight of the European Truck Show calendar for sure, and we wish them every success.”
Claire-Lena Miller-Davis, Exhibition Sales Manager at P&J Live, said: “We are delighted to welcome The Grampian Truck Show to P&J Live, adding to a varied portfolio of events in 2025. To be able to host something that is potentially the largest of its kind in Europe is really exciting and we look forward to welcoming truckers, enthusiasts and families to what is set to be a fantastic weekend.”
