The team at Aberdeen’s live events venue, P&J Live, are this evening celebrating a double win at the 2022 Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) Excellence Awards.

Hosted at the ICC in Birmingham, the awards recognise and celebrate industry best practice in association and not for profit conferences and events.

Scoring highly for its sustainability credentials, excellent in-house expertise and outstanding client feedback, P&J Live was named Industry Supplier of the Year, coming out top against other shortlisted entrants Cvent and Crowdcomms.

P&J Live Sales Researcher Rachael Masson was also named Rising Star, impressing the judging panel with her ‘can do’ attitude and outstanding contributions to the venue that proved instrumental in the venue’s successful bid to host the World Energy Council’s Energy Trilemma Summit & 2022 Executive Assembly.

Louise Stewart, Interim Managing Director at P&J Live, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have picked up these two awards. To be recognised for our achievements among the UK’s very best in association and not for profit conferences and events is fantastic and something we are exceptionally proud of.

“This rounds off a very strong year for P&J Live as a venue, having also picked up Venue of the Year at the AEO Excellence Awards, Best Conference Venue (401-1100 theatre style) at the Conference & Events Awards, and having been shortlisted for a prestigious Scottish Thistle Award for Best Business Event.

“We wouldn’t be where we are without the dedicated team of experts we have in-house, who work tirelessly to deliver a wide portfolio of successful events and showcase Aberdeen as a fantastic conference and events destination. With the support of our operating company, ASM Global, we can’t wait to see what 2023 has to bring.”

These awards come just as P&J Live is also named host of the 2023 ABPCO Awards, which will see the spotlight fall on Aberdeen and attract hundreds of industry professionals to P&J Live on Friday 8th December 2023.
