Schroders Battle of the Brits - Scotland versus England is close to selling out with one month to go. The year-end tennis showcase, brought to Aberdeen by Tournament Director Jamie Murray, was originally due to be held on the same dates in 2021 before COVID-19 meant it had to be rescheduled. It will be played over two days at Aberdeen's P&J Live, with Andy Murray featuring in all three sessions, and starts in exactly one month, on 21st December 2022.
The evening session of Thursday 22nd December, when Jamie and Andy Murray are due to play doubles, is now completely sold out, with the other two sessions on the evening of Wednesday 21st and the afternoon of 22nd December now very close to being full.

Tournament Director Jamie Murray was in Aberdeen today (Monday 21st November) and joined Mum Judy Murray at Albyn School, where he answered questions from children and Judy led a fun tennis session as part of the Battle of the Brits in the Community programme, supported by Brodies LLP. The programme was begun by Judy Murray in 2021 and has visited schools, tennis clubs and community centres across Scotland and reached hundreds of people of all ages, with the goal of bringing tennis to all sections of the community.
Tournament Director Jamie Murray:"It's fantastic that the people of Aberdeen have really got behind Battle of the Brits and it will be great to have full crowds cheering us on and creating a brilliant atmosphere to play in. I know we're all really looking forward to getting out there and putting on a show for them."
On visiting Albyn School:"Mum has done an amazing job with our Battle of the Brits community programme, reaching hundreds of people of all ages across Scotland. That was part of the reason for bringing the event to North East Scotland; we want to inspire people to play as well as watch. It's always fun for me to chat to children and the kids did a great job today with their questions."
